Swiss specialty chemicals group Sika has moved to Microsoft 365 to manage its legal department office application documents and email internationally, following a global rollout of the Microsoft cloud software suite across its operations.
Specifically, Sika Group’s corporate legal department wanted to standardise the way it structures and manages both kinds of content within the Microsoft 365 platform, to standardise and ease collaboration across its locations around the world.
As well as being able to store and share legal documents and emails in a consistent and compliant way, Sika wanted to ensure that any new software would be easy and intuitive to use, take care of strict security requirements without the need for special actions by users, and support both offline and online access to legal files.
Transform Data proposed Custodian for Legal, which meets all of these criteria in a secure, stable, scalable and high-performant solution, and will appear and function seamlessly for users within their familiar, everyday Outlook environment.
Commenting on the decision to use the Repstor solution, supported by Transform Data, Patrick Neill and Jürg Suter, Senior Legal Counsels at Sika Group, said: “We are pleased that Transform Data has been able to both brainstorm with our lawyers to arrive at the right solution design, and spar with our IT department to realise this within the frameworks set by Sika. We look forward to the completion and full rollout of the project.”
Rob Kubben, Managing Partner at Transform Data, added: “Sika is a well-known name worldwide and we are proud that the company has chosen Custodian for Legal provided by Transform Data. We are delighted once again to be expanding our reach in the Swiss region, and we expect to continue this growth in the near future.”
Sika Group expects to complete implementation and rollout of the Repstor for Legal solution in the first quarter of this year.
